The VE head will come with all the inlet gear and the solenoid (probably minus distributor but just use a DE one)

You ECU with Nistune can run the engine

    Entire VE engine ~$2.5k

VET no good (for obvious reasons) unless you are going turbo

you buy a complete ve motor (say 2.5k). you pick up better pistons, better oiling system, higher comp, and (far)less headaches. add some n1 cams, headers, and ecu, and your all good.

Yeah that sounds like the better idea, where can I source an engine?

Just a question as the JWT gears arn't too much more extra to spend so I want to know if they would be good to have anyway.
I set the cam sprockets when I installed the JWT S3 cams.

After that I had the engine put on the dyno. I also have a ChipTorque chip installed which allowed the ChipTorque guys to dial in the cams, etc.
