    N14 seat rails?

    Hey guys ,

    Am i to understand the only bolt in seat rails are the brides? Or can someone school me on other options.

    I have bride rails in JAPSSS however for my new project im trying to keep costs down.

    You could cut n weld the originals although not sure how that would go with the race regs.

    N15 SSS ones will "bolt in" a long with the supporting brackets out of a n15 sss

    I too am in this boat. I'm keen to find out what seats (Recaro, WRX, Evo) if any will bolt to the N14 rails, probably with some sort of adapter plate.

    Ill be looking at getting a full fixed back seat , but ill need rails to suit a side mount seat

    Well after some hours of research it would appear the only rails that can be used are the bride's

    Im not to concerned about the mounting of a different seat to the rails as from what ive seen its all pretty standardized for side mounts

    Please chime in if anyone discovers any thing that i have missed.

    aus spec rails mate. they are bottom mount, easier to remove form the seat than jap ones are. just need to change the bracket on the tunnel.

    I used the to mount my seat, then it wasn't low enough, so I cut them up and modded them to suit my needs

    Hmmm i really wanted to run a side mounted seat , Ill Keep an eye out for an Aus spec seat but.

    I built custom rails from some rectangle tube, some flat plate and original feet that i cut off old rails to bolt to the factory bolt holes.

    this is close to what I ended up doing, need to get my seat lower

    I had little flex with this mod. After I purchased a Racaro LX-M drivers seat, I fixed into position. No rails, lowered the seat. Fixed in my position only.
    NISSAN Pulsar N14 SSS Oz spec - the SSS cult classic. Owned mine since 1992.
