Wakefield Speed off the streets 18th November
Hey Guys,
I'll be going to the Wakefield Speed Off the Streets day on the 18th of November. The event allows you to bring your own car and race! all you need is a helmet!
This is my second time at wakefield and its great fun... If anyone wants more info let me know or check out the wakefield website.
Cost is $180 or $130 if you do not have a AASA licence. (NOTE: Wakefield no longer hire helmets so bring your own!)

How much is the Entry Fee?
$180 with an AASA and $130 without???

Sorry should of made that more clear:
So $130 if you have a AASA licence
Or $180 if you don't have a AASA Licence...
The licence is $50 bucks if you don't have one.. (130+50 = 180) this is valid for 12months, and can be used at any track that requires a AASA licence such as wakefield and Marulan in NSW.

These are fun events - but you're not allowed to race other cars
No overtaking during the braking zone and corners
Can only overtake slower cars on the straight when it safe to do so

That is what's stated on paper yes... however people do think its bathurst 1000

It takes a few goes to get the decent lap times - I've been to Wakefield 3 times and have reduced my lap times by 7 seconds
I would really encourage you to abandon the shuffling on the steering wheel, it's gonna bite you one day
Hold the wheel at 9pm and 3pm - you can get just over 3/4 of a turn without removing your hands from the wheel
That's all the steering you need at Wakefield except for the last turn onto the straight
