    Dick Johnson's rock . . .

The Red Jett hit a large rock on the road. Didn't see it until too late. As I waited for the oil pressure gauge to drop and the oil light to com on, thankfully it didn't.

However, when I got home I saw oil dripping from the oil sump pan. Took a look and it has taken a crushing dent.

So I've found a replacement sump pan from a wrecker and also purchased a new oil pick-up strainer to replace the original.

    Waiting for parts to arrive.

    These are the parts:

Sump pan from Niss4x4 Autospares (Melb)

Pick-up - which has been revised.

    OK - all fixed.

I painted the outside of the oil pan Pulsar red. Looks great.

    Work done:

    Fitted replace opil pan.
Fitted new oil strained pick up.
    Fitted new tie end rods.
Fitted new CV boots and cleaned out/repacked CV joints.
    Wheel alignment
    Clean under engine/transmission

    All is well.
