Minor point, that's not the Autotech oil block (which comes with two oil pressure sensor taps) - it's an MPI (very similar design)
The VE head will come with all the inlet gear and the solenoid (probably minus distributor but just use a DE one)
You ECU with Nistune can run the engine
Entire VE engine ~$2.5k
VET no good...
That's a question for your engine builder...
It will cost $1500+ to buy a VE head but it's well worth it...much better platform
Fully agree, also solves the lifter issues
Nothing in that thread justifies a $3k spend
You'll get more performance but I wouldn't call it decent or cost effective, boys with 5psi boost will smoke you
Can't predict custom build fuel...
With no data what makes you think they are good???
(Same issue with people buying cheap second hand coil overs with no idea what the spring rates are - duh!)
Poncams are a soft option
Procams...
I've been generally disappointed in the motoiq content from Mike Kojima, he's great in racing circles but the street stuff is not great
Milling 0.040" off a head is MASSIVE

Yeah - near Ryde
Not a lot of tread left but they are Asian tyres - hard with little grip - they won't be fun
Sutherland/Gymea area
I work at Macquarie Park - could put them in the boot
I have 4 * 17x7 wheels that are surplus to requirements - $80
(They have tyres on them but they are not a great option for the track)

Did you find some rims or still looking?
Yes, metal block off plates
Everything can be removed - see previous posts
Thanks - I've removed the canister, EGR, BST and blocked everything off - track car however
The thing below the throttle body is a solenoid, part of the EGR canister stuff, leave it there cos I think the ECU goes into limp mode without it - but remove all the air lines and block them at the...

Time to start preparing the car for next year:
The engine is very tired, ~10 psi different between the best and worst cylinder, so I expect to replace the rings, will do the crank bearings at the...
Latest paint scheme - Leesss had good results at the last Vic/Winton round

You want any shocks or YellowSpeed shocks for APRA?
MX5 Mainia in Sydney are the YellowSPeed vendor, not sure if you can purchase just the rears
Ask in the APRA classifieds on Facebook

There is a "Pulsar Challenge" sub forum here: http://pulsar.org.au/forums/forumdisplay.php?53-Pulsar-Challenge
Three of us have threads in there
I raced last year - had to sit this year out due to house renovations and work commitments - I will be racing again next year
I built my car for a little over $5k
I didn't actually spend $5k as I...
Hmmm, eccentric bolts? They were originally called crash bolts - used to fix the alignment on crashed/bent cars
They can rotate when hammering curbs etc
Do the camber at the strut bolt holes - so much more effective range than at the top
With the top hat - max castor (so if it only does castor that's fine)
Also get the Whiteline bushes for the front/lower control arm
Make sure the rear bush is the castor correction version
It will give you 1 degree more castor but more importantly it will remove a...
Somewhere in that range (4 to 5) you should find the sweet spot
Also need to find the sweet spot for tyre pressure
