Solex door locks

Related to the old thread above: has anyone here fitted Solex door locks to an N15S2?

I thought these looked like a neat solution to the problem of local thieves using a pair of scissors or a screwdriver to get in, so I bought a set. The "NUL1331" is supposed to be the correct lock kit. So far I've only tried to fit the one in the tailgate/hatch, but it doesn't fit in the hole - it's not even close. I'd have to go butchering up the panel with a nibbling tool to the thing to fit.

PS: amusing that my car's original owner paid a car dealer way too much (I have the receipt) to apply anti-rust treatment... to a car with a galvanised body... but the installer didn't bother treating inside the tailgate.
