N14 SSS rear hatch spoiler.

Recently, I noticed that the spacer between the spoiler and hatch was weeping black goo.

I decided to clean it up, seal it with silicone and touch up later.

But it still leaked.

I decided to take the spoiler off or at least look at where it connects to the rear hatch lid. Took the inside covers off and could not see anything at all.

Has anyone ever replaced a N14 rear spoiler? If so, advice appreciated.
