Recently had abs light suddenly come on pulling up to intersection for uturn, there was some gravel that would have triggered abs and light came on then. Very odd way to have abs light come on i think.
However driveshafts were reconditioned earlier that week so maybe a sensor took a knock.

I take my first steps are to check the sensors.
Should i be unplugging sensor and connecting multi meter to its pins?
Should i test resistance or for a signal (ac current?) from the sensor when rotating wheel?
I do have a vehicle i can test for referrence that had working abs last i checked.

Need to put the ABS computer into diag mode and get the code so it tells you what wheel speed sensor (or other sensor/fault) it has.

I would need a consult computer for that or something yeah? :/

Nope ... Just using a wire link or a paper clip method it will flash the ABS light. See PDF.
