Does anyone know the Australian street FWD Pulsar Trap speed record?

I know Tipsi ran 130mph some years ago,

Does anyone know if he has ever run faster?
Or if anyone else has?

Thanks guys

I know there's this Vlad bloke who has gone 130mph, but that's the fastest I know of personally.

Really? Wow, Vlad sounds like the kind of guy I'd like to be

I dont know the trap speeds, but theres a few pulsars running 11s at the moment.

Bread ran 11.39 (apparently)
and theres that blue sedan in NSW with the 11sec plates.

I didn't know Omega ran an 11 yet. He's had the plates for a while and when we last spoke he hadn't run one (but neither had I at the time!).

Plus there's me that ran 11.9@125.

Who is bread? Might be this guy? (sorry for the poor photo, only had a potato on me)

So the story so far about ringers is that in his pulsar he ran mid 11s and a 120+mph pass all while having backed off before he got to the end??????

I think we better ask the man himself as this is a bit of a strange pass

But either waaaaaaaaaaaaaay,
I would just like to know the highest trap speed a street Fwd pulsar has ever run in Aus,
If anyone has the answer that would be much appreciated :)

I'm thinking it's still going to be tipsi. Never heard of anyone running faster. Even in the diagon ally rumour mill I've heard nothing.

He says he didn't lift off because he was on my back for years that I should have been running 11s ages ago. I think he just pulled a bull**** launch :). Anyway here's mention of Tipsi running 130+ and Ringers' 11.7@120: https://web.archive.org/web/20090803111130/http://www.pulsar.org.au/

That's exactly what I want to find out as I am about to set my car up for the quarter mile,
I need to know what time and speed needs to be beat, without a specific goal it becomes a silly exercise

Not necessarily. It takes a lot of time and effort to make that sort of power, then it has to be reliable for long enough to get it to the track, and then the track reveals a few problems that didn't appear on the dyno/street. So after a few set backs and ludicrous $$$ input (for a Pulsar) I doubt that many could be arsed continuing and choose another direction.

It's only loonies like Tipsi and Vlad who have kahoonies to build 130MPH Pulsars [emoji14]

So your saying Tipsi was possibly actually drunk, not just Tipsi

Another note Ringers was running( still is ) a dog box allowing him to flat shift , I would think there was time saved right there. However being with him driving that thing on the street it looks so paintful haha

In saying that he went through G/Box cases and more drive shafts i could count trying the get that 60Ft time down low (Where we all know the time is)

i dont think its not as un-acheivable today as it was back 2010 and earlier... lots of people currently pushing the required power for an 11 sec pass. E85, fuel and turbo tech has come a long way. drag tyres, suspension setup, a 4/6-puck clutch (that isnt exedy), practice, a good launch and more practice is all it should need really.

the only thing the 11.4 pulsar in the vid (aka butters' car) has ontop of that is custom driveshafts.

Don't be ridiculous, if you go boosted and reach over the 300kw mark you'll hardly ever break anything

1049
1050
1051

You'll never melt Cp pistons, a genuine Greddy turbine wheel, break aftermarket valve springs, custom made Cvs, bend valves, burn through spark plugs, destroy 4 puck ceramic clutches and turn the flywheel blue all the way to the back of it from heat, break PAR output shafts, and punch holes in gearbox casings

These are all myths and would never happen to any one person ever

the Snowy 1000 is coming up and I just noticed the previous FWD winners have had fairly tame cars...

2014 was a mazda MX6 who hit 216km/h.
2013 was a VW polo that ran 2 secs slower than the MX6.

can someone please enter their turbo pulsar and dominate? kthnx
