Laura Branagan

New York born (1957) and studied voice/singing lessons at an early age.

Can sing in four octaves!

Met her lover (an Italian) and married him. No kids. They reworked an Italian love song called ‘Gloria’ into a what is now referred to as an ‘anthem' song.

Her husband contracted cancer in 1996 and Laura retired from showbiz to look after him. He died four years later, and Laura died four years after him in 2004 aged 47 – some say of a broken heart.

She loved her fans and always touched them at the end of her concerts… Watch through closing credits.
