N15 Hatch Trolley Jack / Jack Stand Points

    Hey Guys,

Anyone have any photos to identify a safe/solid/best location for the following:

    1. Trolley Jack Point(s) to jack up the rear of the N15 Hatch
    2. Jack Stand Ponts(s) to jack up the rear of the N15 Hatch

(Note: Whiteline Rear Swaybar fitted along rear beam so cant use that as a single jacking point)

    Thanks.

You'd be right, but not everyone has an owners manual. Neither of my last 2 second hand pulsars had them.

look underneath the car. you will see two points underneath the sills that are the spots where the jack goes.

    Trolley jack:

Front - centre of the crossmember under the motor.
Front single side - using a block of wood to spread load or padded jack, just behind the control arm on the flat area of the underbody.

Rear - centre of the rear beam.
Rear - with swaybar, one edge of the beam will still be accessible and is perfectly fine to jack to get the wheels off the ground. I doubt it would bend, i've been doing it for years.

    Factory Jack:
There are factory jack points on each of the sills, front and rear denoted with a small half moon notch.

    Stands.

Front - under the front tow hooks for not far off the ground.
Front - under the D bushes for the front sway bar
Front - under the caster bush locations if you're working on the sway bar.

Rear - under the rear beam if you're doing brakes or tyres, obviously not suitable if you're doing suspension.
Rear - in front of the rear trailing arms is a spot that most jack stands fit nicely on. Depending on how low the car is and how high your jack goes will depend if you can get the stands under it.

Thanks Cozzm0 exactly what i was after, a breakdown of alternate methods to raise and put the car on stands, all in one spot where everyone can easily find/search.

Knew about the scissor jack and sills... but usually only use them to get the car high enough to fit a trolley jack under other points, so stands can also fit... but maybe my cheapie stands are just a little too high at minimum height for just the scissor jack.
