    Removing Shifter

So I bought an after market shifter as I am really not a fan of the stock one. First step - turn counter clockwise. Nope, that thing is ****ing stiff, tips to get the knob off ?

Don't take this as gospel, as I'm not sure, but I think I read a post where you wrap a cloth around it, then squeeze locking vice grips on to it. This was for removing the gear knob. Hope that's what you meant.

Yeah that is it, think I found that too on an old archive, I will give it a go, don't want to ruin the rod though :S

You'll stuff the knob before the rod. They're glued on. Applying heat to the shaft which will travel up to the end might help to loosen the glue. Basically expect to destroy or damage the knob getting it off.

I'm assuming they're screwed on and used glue? Happy to destroy mine and put a different type that I prefer on.

Got it off! Wet rag and a G-clamp did the trick, did minor scuff the other one though.

What a difference the shifter makes though, very impressed, I hated the stock one.

So its just the gear knob that you replaced? Or the entire metal shift?

Does anyone know where you can buy the OEM knob from? or at least one that looks and feels like it?

You wouldn't happen to know the part # ?

Nothing is coming up for any of the Pulsar N15 models...

I probably should have asked, which car is this for?

I am looking for the N15 SSS leather one.
