    Nissan service manual

    Sr20De
    With oil filter change 3.4L
    Without filter change 3.2L

But always double check the level with the dipstick

The dip stick on my Red Jett has always read about 3mill above full.

However I always put the specified amount in, plus 150 mill for extra oil coverage, and my engine is not coked, I can tell you that.

After 134,000 klicks and in 24 years it has had 47 oil changes… That's an oil change circa every 3,000 klicks.

My humble suggestion is 3.5 litre with and 3.4 litre without oil filter change.

I speak from 24 year ownership of a N14 SSS Oz Spec and did a compression test on all cylinders last year and the results were as a brand new engine.

Lots and lots of oil changes do work…

If you have been putting in 4.3 litres, then that's way too much. The oil overfill will slosh heavily against your engine bottom end oil seals causing premature decay.

Whack in 3.5 litres of Castrol Edge 5W30 and put a smile on ya face…

    Cheers.

Dipstick should have the engine type on it "53J" and note how flat your surface is when you fill it and remember it takes times for the oil to flow down to the sump when you're filling it. I always fill with a measured amount and then top up afterwards.
