    N14 cooling fans.

For those that have mounted the cooling fans on the front of the radiator to make more room in the bay for bigger turbo etc.

Has anyone done it and kept the air con. How much room is there with the air con condensor still on the car.

If anyone has aome pics that would be cool also.

    cool, awaiting the upload.

Also a quick question about your W2A setup, do u run a storage tank or just the water that fills the lines cooler and radiator?

U ever taken it in stop start Sydney peak hour traffic, particularly a hot day with ac on LoL.

Asking as i am wondering how it would cope with the slow moving or not moving with heat soak etc etc.

    I have a W2A set up on a GTI-R.
My storage container is 125mm dia x 200mm deep (PVC pipe with a sealed blank one end and a screw top the other).
The hose line from the cooler flows into the container and the outlet goes to the double flow radiators.
I travel 28kms each way in stop start traffic for work and throughout all these really hot weather we've have had I've not noticed any heat soak. hth
oh, and usually in the afternoons, when it's hottest, I use the A/C.

The radiators are 430x170x19mm with barbed inlet and outlet. There are 2, stacked vertically so you have 430x350x19mm. The extra 10mm in the 350mm is the gap between where the end plates touch. Mounting brackets were made from Aluminium plate and 20mm right angle. The 2 radiators are bolted up and they sit flush to the grill and the back of the bumper. The parts sticker on them reads "Condenser Oil Cooler 2001GO3-2000".

This is the cooler used http://www.siliconeintakes.com/produ...d8de6098709b6f. It is mounted over the distributor and rocker cover, but this will be getting changed so that it sits off the end of the rocker cover (behind the distributor), so a bit of pipe fabrication will be needed. This is to give better clearance when the bonnet is closed.

The battery has been turned so it sits more north/south and the CAI is located right behind the headlight with the reservoir sitting in the triangle against the side wall.

The hot line from the cooler goes to the Bottom barb connector of the Top radiator. The Top barb connector of the Top radiator is connected to the Top barb connector of the Bottom radiator (linking the 2 radiators).

The Bottom barb connector of the Bottom radiator (the cold line) goes to the Reservoir and then another line goes from the Reservoir to the cooler.
