can you still get them?
think mines broken
They stop making the whole unit awhile ago, Surely they still have the clutch packs?
What are your symptoms to think its broken ?
here's a link to the part numbers for the discs's. http://www.nismo.co.jp/products/cata...2015/#page=167
quality is remembered long after price is forgotten
heres how it looks through, the 4 holes in the side of the diff
NICE JOB, but the parts you need are the pressure rings, not the plates ...
This part (x2)
are they still available? and if your going to do something, do it right
Looks like you should have one small chunk of metal floating around in the box (from lower left photo)
I think disassembly of the LSD unit needs to be performed to determine the level of damage. If the 4 way crosspin assembly has also been damaged it could be a good shelf trophy.
I'm not sure but i would imagine that replacing the pressure rings is probably not possible given the rest of the LSD is NLA and plates are common across several units which is the only reason they would be still available.
Please keep us updated if/when you disassemble the LSD.
think I might be shopping for a new diff, I will pull it apart at some point though
LSD options?
racing= what you got now
pulsar challenge= it seems (dare i say it, after an epic thread on the pga f/b) weld it up.
street car=mfactory helical
option= 32v with a cusco.
quality is remembered long after price is forgotten
its a street car, with par. im not changing boxes. im on the hunt for a nismo
i did when i was looking for one for the challenge car, no luck
Bump
It appears that the rebuild kits for our LSDs have been removed from the Nismo Parts Catalogue since 2016, and Nengun currently list them as discontinued. I haven't cross-checked part numbers to see if we can utilise discs from other Nismo LSDs.
So where does that leave us if we need to rebuild our precious LSDs?

Some plates were special some were Nissan OEM. I’d say **** outta luck probably because nothing else good runs an R160 size diff. I think some Subaru’s did/do but no idea of any kind of lsd plate comparability.
This is disappointing though as I just recently managed to get myself another Nismo LSD and had planned to get a plate kit for it, even if it’s just for the shelf.
