    Post Forum Rules and Guidelines

    Here you can find answers to questions about how the board works. Use the links or search box below to find your way around.

    User Accounts
    Only ONE account may be registered per person. If you have forgotten your user-name or password, or wish your name to be changed, please contact a member of the admin team.

    The Administrator Account
    Please note that this user account is unmanned. Please do not send private messages etc to this account - they will not be read. If you need to contact a member of the admin team, please use the Report Post button or select a human administrator from here.

    Posting New Threads & Use of the Search Function
    Please use the Search Function

    A search of the forums should tell you if a user has already posted a question or answer corresponding to your query. With regards to technical information, many of the questions have already been asked and answered already. Searching is quicker and easier than posting and waiting for someone to reply. Be prepared to be told off if you don't search properly first.

    Posting a new Thread

    If you don't find the answer you're looking for, and can't find a similar thread to post your question in, post a new thread in the appropriate forum section, being careful to lay out your questions clearly.

    Giving Technical Advice
    Please ensure that you think carefully before giving any technical advice.

    Clear and Accurate information is helpful to other members.

    Poor information not only reflects badly upon you, it can also be dangerous/costly to other members. If you don't know what you're talking about, don't post replies. If you heard it from your mates uncle, do not state it as fact.

    Behavior & Appropriate Content
    We have a strict 'G' Rating
    Offensive, explicit, abusive or threatening posts are not appropriate on these boards.

    Illegal Activities?
    Discussing any sort of illegal activities such as street racing, warez, pirating music / software etc is not permitted. By posting such material you put yourself and the group at risk of legal action. And No, you don't have a "private" road or track where you filmed your speedo going from 0 to 200km/h.

    Police read this forum on the lookout for objectionable material. We are obligated to provide them with user information and IP addresses if asked.


    Please do not post "callout" threads to contact someone. If they won't answer their PMs they are probably busy. The rest of the world doesn't need to know about it.

    Reporting Inappropriate Posts
    Below ever post you will see this symbol - , the "Report Bad Post" feature.

    Use this if you feel a post is inappropriate or offensive. A forum moderator or admin will check out the post as soon as possible.

    Signatures & Avatars


    Signatures come under the same forum rules as posts. They mustn't contain offensive materials.

    Once set, signatures appear under every post that you make. Keep in mind that others may not want to read a load of bullocks every time you post.

    - Limit of 150 characters

    - Images are not allowed.

    Any signatures not complying with these guidelines will be removed without warning.

    An Avatar is a small picture displayed below your user name on all posts that you make.

    - Maximum size is 114 by 114 pixels and 60 KB

    - Picture must comply with our 'G' rating.

    Inappropriate signatures & avatars will be removed without warning.

    Additional Rules

    As a member of this forum, it is your job to:

    1a. Be Polite and courteous to all members, including new ones.

    2a. Provide information to other members when requested (yes, sometimes even when the question has been asked before)

    3a. Further to point #2a, try to provide *correct and accurate* information when requested, if you don't know, you probably shouldn't answer.

    4a. Use the "report this post" function when you see a post you believe is rude/inappropriate, in the wrong place or otherwise should not be on this forum.

    5a. Follow a direction or warning from an admin member.

    6a. Respect the fact that people may not have your level of knowledge and may ask what YOU consider to be dumb questions, refer to 1a.

    It is NOT your job nor duty to:

    1b. Fly off the handle when someone asks a question that has been asked before, please refer to point 1a.

    2b. (further to #1b) See who can be first in with the picture, it doesn't make you cool.

    3b. Express how much you "would love to buy this item but don't have the money"

    4b. "Free bump" other people's threads.

    Trading Post Rules


    PGA take no responsibility for any transactions between its members. Please use the Feedback Rating System to provide feedback on transactions so others may benefit from your dealings, good or bad.

    Access to & using the Trading Post

    - Access to the Trading Post is currently unrestricted to all users. Donations are appreciated as it would normally cost you to advertise elsewhere.

    - For ease of use a template has been set up that requires a number of mandatory fields which should stop trivial requests (i.e. location, price) and is structured in a manner that allows details to be found quickly. If you have more than one item to sell, create the first ad and then edit the post and copy/paste the template for other items.

    - When an item is sold, please mark the thread as SOLD by going to the Thread Tools menu and selecting Mark thread as sold...This will mark the item as sold and close the thread.

    - You may only advertise items that belong to you.

    - If you have more than one item for sale please list them all in one thread (list the first item and then edit the thread to list the others).

    - "Bumping" threads should only be done a maximum once per day, preferably even less often (i.e once it has disappeared from the first page)

    Commercial or Repeat Selling is currently not allowed. This includes Group Buys and Selling via PM.

    A Vendors Section for approved Pulsar-related businesses is still under discussion.

    Advertising & Group Buys
    Advertising - Not Permitted

    This is not the place to promote your business or money making venture.

    This applies to any post or content on the forum, including user signatures.

    We are funded almost solely by payments from supporting members.

    Group Buys - Not Permitted (unless admin approved).

    Please Note that in the past members have lost large sums of money due to group buys going wrong, therefore we have taken this step to protect the club and it's members.

    Making a Donation
    The forum (software, hosting, and domain registration) is entirely funded by the administration team. Monetary donations to reimburse the admins can be made via the Contribute button at the top of the page. Donations are voluntary and non-refundable and go towards keeping this valuable resource available to all. In return as a donator you will get the following privileges:

    - Upgrade from a to a in your post bit area (user details beside your post).

    - Increased Private Message storage from 50 to 250 messages.

    - Increased attachment storage from 10MB to 50MB

    - Access to the Pool Room

    - More items to come (what privileges would you like to see, arcade games, chat box?)
