18LE Rpm taco constantly sits at peak.

Hey guys,
Out of nowhere my 1990 Gx has started sitting over the max 8k RPM's on the Taco, sits there soon as i turn key to engage power to the car/while its running. It however isnt even Revving at all and idles fine...
Checked fuses and relays and all good.... Before i pull dash apart to see if its in relation to anything in the dash, anything or suggestions to try first? and or has anyone had this issue before?
all other electronics in the car seem fine and no issue.

Hey Chris, how did you go with this issue? The stock taco is known to be pretty poor in quality as I've heard of numerous defects with the N13 cluster, particularly with age. Generally the simples method is to replace the whole cluster, not ideal I know as you most likely end up with different odometer readings. Alternatively you could have a go at replacing the taco mechanism from another cluster?
