Hi,just thought I would make people aware that the gear ratios are different on the N16 hatch and sedan in the first series.Also the Engine has plenty of differences also.So if you are going to the wreckers and you don't want to be changing a lot of parts make sure you get the parts from the same model car. Even brake rotors are bigger on the hatch.

Hey yeah i'm looking for some help with a N16 hatch if anyone knows - I am trying to replace the auto-shifter knob though have had trouble removing the original one. Any advice?
~bump~ i'm not sure if there is some kind of release down further... It is a similar shifter unit to the x-trail from what I've read, if that helps. No screws and the casing below is fixed to the handle so yeah!
Speaking of gearboxes for the sedan N16 2005 pulsar.... does anyone here know where the plug is to disconnect the speedo and odometer please? I know its electronic but have no idea what to unplug.
