Yet another vehicle to add to the collection.

Red Jett still fantastic, but this RCZ is a beauty.

39,000 klicks, registered in 2015. One of the last few sold in Oz.

In 2015 Lamborghini sold 84 cars in Oz. Only 70 RCZ's were sold. Exclusive.

I got a fantastic deal.

The RCZ is as cute as a cheeky Parisian waitress.

I just had to add this for Le Mans fans.

The RCZ's double-bubble roof.

The RCZ roof was derived from this racing car.

What a sight, last lap of the 24 Hour Le Mans 2009, with Peugeot placing 1st, 2nd and 3rd.

And two Aussies placing No. 1.

Enjoy.

Ha. Took possession of the RCZ today. My wife and I have loved this car ever since we saw it at a Pug dealership in 2010, when we purchased our 207cc Sport THP150.

The RCZ is in such great condition. I emailed to seller and told him it is the best 2nd hand car I've ever purchased. Am I lucky.

Never even driven one before, such was the trust.

And, not disappointed. It handles very well; sounds great; goes great and is very comfortable. Not to mention the kudos it brings, as RCZ's are very rare in Oz.

Soon as I got my hands on it, this morning, I spent three hours caressing it:

Oil change Castrol Edge 5W30
Oil filter change
Engine flush (Nulons)
Subaru SA459
Fit K&N air filter
Replace pollen filter
Replace spark plugs
Replace wiper blades
Replace fuel filter

Most of the filters were in excellent shape, but I wanted to do my thing. Spark plugs (so important in the Prince THP engines), were originals (40,000 kilometres). Yup, they needed changing. I replace plugs on my THP150 every 20,000 kilometres.

I'm still in shock!

Congrats on the purchase mate!

This is probably the most attractive modern Peugeot - very distinctive on the road and a good alternative to a TT.

Spot on.

Only 68,000 units were made. 700 sold in Oz.

They're a great looking car and have certainly come down in price second hand. I looked into them out of curiosity and was instantly put off by the BMW parts in the car.
The newer minis have an awful, awful history of issues, particularly engine recalls and mechanical issues right out the dealership. Do the newer RCZ's share the same engine still? The older RCZ's shared enough common parts to make me want to stay clear.

Keep us posted on how the car goes

Hey Leroy,

I hear what you say about BMW parts in the Pug. Only engine parts, that have now been totally revised by Peugeot. Early Citroens, Minis and Pugs (2008 - 2012) were plagued with engine issues. Now been resolved as PSA have done a lot of work on this engine (the Prince engine). https://media.groupe-psa.com/en/psa-peugeot-citroën/press-releases/innovation-technology/eighth-consecutive-international-engine Where as BMW has dropped the engine in favour of '3 cylinder jobs' (yuck)

RCZ's manufactured from 2013 - 2016 (the RCZ Mk2) have a lot of engine issues solved. I know because I also own a Pug 207cc Sport from 2008.

So I'm pretty much convinced the foibles have been rectified. The RCZ-R 1.6 lit is now the most powerful 1.6 litre engine unit currently world produced. Something like 280 bhp.

See it take on a Nissan 370Z Nismo.

But, I'll keep ya posted.

All 68,000 RCZ's were manufactured at the Magna factory in Austria.

Cheers.

Check this out. Great 1st and 2nd place wins.

Gorgeous Racing RCZ's. The video is great. And a form finish, even.
