Hi guys, I'm new to the forum I recently acquired a N14 with a GTi-R engine conversion it is currently running a Microtech MT8 ecu which is rubbish on this car. I currently have a couple ECU's I have a wolf3d, Autronic SMC and apexi power FC which are GTi-R specific. I would prefer to use the apexi as how good they are, I don't want to fork out money for a haltech elite or link G4. So for all you SR guru's out there I wanted to know if I should use the power FC or any other options like a nistune ecu etc. And if anybody knows any good tuners in Sydney.

Cheers

I apologize if this is posted in the wrong section

PowerFC, Nistune are both good options, Nistune probably has a bit better support as there are limited people who will have the right software to tune the PowerFC (without using the hand controller). Also Nistune using a factory ECU means if you do have an issue, there is more support/parts to be able to troubleshoot, plus Consult (nissan diagnostics) software still works with a Nistune board installed, where as PowerFC ECU removes Consult diagnostic support.

I use Nistune on my SR20VE setup and have found it to be flawless for my use.

Yeah good call on the microtech, I have not used them but they have never been recommended to me and not many speak highly of them.
The autronic SMC is a bit dated, but Autronic are pretty good though I'm only familiar with the SM4
Power FC will do the job but lacking in features/options.

nistune on a gtir ecu or n14/n15 ecu with a gtir basemap.done.

big shoutout to haltech if you do happen to get some cash together.
