Greetings Lads and Lassies !
I've been working with Peter, the creator of The ECUTalk Consult LCD V2 to add a much needed feature to make his product even better. BASE IDLE / TIMING ADJUST MODE !!!!!
New firmware download :
http://www.ecutalk.com.au/downloads/firmware/v2.09.zip
New firmware installation instruction :
http://www.ecutalk.com/firmware.aspx
This new feature allows you to lock the Ignition Timing and AAC idle valve to properly set the base ignition timing and the idle speed without having to hookup a laptop computer. Usually if you adjust the timing or the idle valve screw the ECU will compensate for it, in this mode it will not compensate. You still need a timing light to check the timing mark on the crank pulley.
