So I'm old school and have always removed a battery to recharge it if it was flat. But that's something that I've done since getting my first car over 30 years go.
Things change and I'm wondering if you still need to do this?
Can more modern cars have a battery charger hooked up to them whilst the terminals are still connected?
I'm thinking not, but that's why I ask. Maybe it's different now?

Not a problem to leave it in the car while charging. The only difference will be that a small amount of that charge current will be used to power the standby items in the car, like the clock, alarm, headunit constant power etc.

Thanks Cozz. I always thought it had to be disconnected for fear of damaging other electrical stuff like alternator. Although my battery is fine now, I'll keep all this in mind when charging time comes around.
