Hi guys,

I have an after market lightened flywheel that is drilled for a GTiR crank. Would it be dangerous to use this on a DE with the smaller bolts?

Car wont be raced or driven hard. Only need it to run around for a very short time while other motor is built. So will it be safe to drive around gently for a week or two? Or do I need to go buy a flywheel tomorrow?

I'd say it's ok because the flywheel is located on the crank by the centre hole. I'd do the bolts up until they start to bite and give the wheel a clockwise twist/bash so the bolts are hard up against the smaller bolts holes and won't allow any movement.

Yes it will be dangerous... so dangerous that you should post it down to me free of charge and I will dispose of it for you..... hahaha :)

Nah, I have done this, put a DE in my car for a year or so and ran my drilled out fly - had no probs.

Rotate the flywheel in the direction of torque loading as well.
