Hey guys, I have a '98 N15 sedan, and the driver's door requires a bit of force to shut ie; the door doesn't completely close unless you slam it. Is this a common thing with the N15, or just happens through wear and tear? What should I be looking at replacing, the latch assembly?

Cheers in advance

Hi mate, this happened to me too. Was that way for a long time before I got my ass into gear though lol.
The reason this was happening to me was because my door was sagging on the hinges. Simple solution:

I basically undid the big bolts to the door on the bottom hinge and slipped a washer in behind the hinge and between the door for each bolt.
Doing so 'kicks' the door up and voila no more catching on the door mechanism. It has made my life a happy place.
View photos to get a clear idea. You can see the shinyness of the washers in there.

Thanks for the reply mate! I'll give that a shot.. do you remember what size the washer was off the top of your head?

Edit: For the record I used two 8mm washers, easy as to do and worked a treat! Thanks again for your help!

Yeah had no idea on size sorry, they were just a couple of washers I had lying around the garage.
That's great news, glad I could help :)
